International

International Service exemplifies our global reach in promoting peace and understanding. We support this service avenue by sponsoring or volunteering on international projects, seeking partners abroad, and more.

PNG Birthing Kits

25 Birthing kits were handed to Kilagi for Kimabolo

Birthing Kits

We support the mothers in PNG by sending birthing kits, providing clean environments for childbirth.  These kits are put together in liaison with our local CWA ladies

Kilagi and her husband Rocky have been working with local service providers and schools in the Kemabolo area for many years including providing Encyclopaedias to the schools and rebuilding Aid Posts themselves with friends. Supporting their work is part of the broader International Reach of the work of the Rotary Club of Eumundi

PNG Garden Party

In 2018 we conducted an afternoon high tea to support communities in PNG.  It was held at the home of Anne and Anthony Everingham’s home and superb country garden, with a soloist and musical entertainment.  Over $3,000 was raised which was used to support SpaTap – an efficient method of providing clean water for handwashing.

Vanuatu – Cyclone assistance

In 2015 we donated $1,000 to aid in Vanuatu. Cooroy Rotary Club has also matched the offer and these funds have been sent to a known contact in Vanuatu. These people have been regularly keeping our clubs informed of the progress of the assistance that has been made possible by our funds.
